PhD in History (Ethnography), Research Fellow at the Department of Diaspora Studies at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (2020–present).
Previously was a PhD student in Iranian Studies at the Department of Oriental Studies, Yerevan State University (2003–2007), obtained a Master’s Degree in Sociology (2000–2002) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (1996–2000) at the Department of Industrial Sociology and Psychology of Management at the State Engineering University of Armenia.
Previous positions include the Researcher and the Lecturer at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University (2018–2021), the Researcher and the Assistant Editor for Caucaso-Caspica Journal at the Institute of Autochthonous Peoples of the Caucasian-Caspian Region (2017–2019), and the Assistant Rector at Arya International (Armenian-Iranian) University (2009–2010).
Research interests – Sociology of Religion, Religious Studies, Identity Studies, Diaspora Studies. The author of more than thirty scholarly articles published in Armenia and internationally and the participant of over than twenty national and international academic conferences.
