Maria Ditsou is currently completing a Master's degree in Journalism at the Hellenic Open University. Her thesis, titled "Unveiling the Darkness", examines the watchdog role of investigative journalism and the relationship between press freedom, corruption, and organized crime networks. Her research draws on frameworks of collaborative cross-border investigative journalism and the safety of journalists. She is an Archaeologist with extensive scientific experience in field research and excavation, as well as a Greek language educator who holds postgraduate specializations in Adult Education and Open and Distance Learning. She has served as an Educational Consultant and Education Manager at lifelong learning institutions for many years. Her interdisciplinary background includes training in Artificial Intelligence, Tourism, Environmental Education, Differentiated Instruction, and Special Education. She is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. She is passionate about analyzing and communicating complex information to diverse audiences, bridging the gap between research and public understanding.
